Bob Grimm

Bob Grimm has been the movie critic for Tucson Weekly since 2003, and also writes for Coachella Valley Independent. He spent half of his life in Long Island and upstate New York, but has no New York accent, which is a little weird. 

For 25 years Bob wrote for Reno News & Review (and its sister papers in Chico and Sacramento, CA), was a member of the Las Vegas Film Critics Society for 19 years and won numerous Nevada Press Association Awards for Entertainment and Critical Writing. He is also an approved critic on Rottentomatoes.com.

Bob co-hosted a Friday morning movie segment on KTHX-FM radio for 16 years where, once again, a New York accent was not detected. He’s interviewed celebrities from Kevin Smith to Rita Moreno.

His favorite movie is Jaws, he hates Avatar, and he thinks Daniel Day-Lewis retiring from acting is a sickening tragedy. He’s a huge Boston Terrier fan and he collects Sideshow Collectible movie figures that cost way too much money, which makes him somewhat of a super geek.
