Randy Cordova

Randy Cordova is an arts and entertainment journalist and producer at  azcentral.com and The Arizona Republic. Through the years, he has  written about most aspects of entertainment, including music, movies,  television, books, fine arts, events and radio. He is a genuine,  honest-to-goodness Arizona native and a member of the last graduating  class of the now-defunct West High School. He received a bachelor’s  degree in journalism from Arizona State University. He joined The  Arizona Republic while in college and wrote obituaries, answered phones  and learned and watched from some great journalists.

His work has appeared in such publications as Spin and Goldmine and  he has appeared as a guest on news programs on Channel 12 (KPNX),  Channel 7 (KAZT) and KTAR (92.3), among others. He authored the liner  notes for the three-disc box set “Vikki Carr: The Ultimate Collection”  (EMI Records) and has worked as an adjunct professor at ASU and Phoenix  College. Movie-wise, his earliest memories involve seeing such films as  “The Poseidon Adventure,” “Willard,” “The Odd Couple” and “Love Story”  at Westdale 4 Theatres and staying up to watch the Channel 10 late show  on Saturday nights.
